Pacing & Planning

Q: What if we're behind schedule? A: Skip optional challenges, focus on core concepts. Weeks 1-6 are essential; others can be condensed.

Q: Can I skip phases? A: Weeks 1-6 required. Weeks 7-12 (Turtle) recommended. Weeks 13-18 or 19-24 can be chosen based on resources.

Q: How much prep time per week? A: 30-60 min to review materials, test code, prepare examples.

Differentiation

Q: Student finishing early? A: Use challenge tasks, help others, explore "Going Further" ideas, start next week.

Q: Student struggling? A: Pair programming, simplify tasks, focus on concepts over completion, extra practice time.

Q: Mixed ability class? A: Tiered tasks (basic/intermediate/advanced), peer teaching, flexible pacing.

Technical

Q: What if installation fails? A: Use online editors (Repl.it, Trinket), focus on concepts, share devices.

Q: Classroom computers locked down? A: Portable Thonny on USB, browser-based options, work with IT for exceptions.

Q: Students working at home? A: Thonny works on any OS, all code runs locally, no cloud accounts needed.

Assessment
