Status of the project

Hi! I have noticed that there has been no activity on this project for a while.

• There has been no commit to master since June 2016;
• New issues are not answered;
• Pull requests are not reviewed.

Technical debt is accumulating:

• The master branch will not work out with new versions of the dependencies;
• The library is not tested against newer versions of Django;
• Users have to maintain their own branch

eulxml is an excellent library and we (@erudit) use it in production. I would like to know:

• Does @emory-libraries has any plans to resume work on eulxml in the future?
• If not, how can the community help maintaining the library?

Although there has been a commit since your post, the maintainers appear unreachable. I checked if there was some way to deal with such situations (couldn't imagine that it didn't happen with influential projects before) and I found this "repository host" exactly for that purpose: https://github.com/rejuvenate.

Should I ask them to include eulxml?

Hi, everyone. I've been continuing to use eulxml without paying attention to the lack of maintenance. I'm reaching out to my contacts at Emory to see if I can get them to transfer the repository and pypi package to me (or one of my github orgs) so I can take over maintenance.

Are folks still using eulxml? If so, which parts of it are you using? If I can get it transferred, would anyone be willing to contribute fixes + updates, or could we carve off sub projects that could be maintained elsewhere? I'm not using the django xml forms portion of the codebase and would prefer not to maintain it myself.
