[Bug]: Reduce amount of duplicate code with build flags #63

What happened?
While porting the recent changes from the Evmos main repo, I've noticed a bunch of changes where duplicate files are created with different build flags for testing and production.
We should reduce the scope of the contained code to only the affected code bits. Currently there are more things contained in those files, which make it unnecessarily error prone.
