Implementing transforms and interceptors

Hi,
is there a good reason (other than not needing them), that interceptors and transforms are not supported ? I'd like to use this, but other services attach interceptors and i'd like to support them if possible.

No good reason beyond not being necessary in the use cases I envisaged.

I'll happily accept pull requests to add that support, provided there are tests.
