Unable to load songs on iPod Nano 7th generation #5

I'm using Strawberry as my interface for libgpod.
I tried to transfer some songs from my computer to my iPod Nano 7th gen. The songs appeared to be transferred successfully, showing up in the list of iPod songs seen via Strawberry. However the new songs didn't show up on the iPod itself after I ejected it. I tried rebooting the iPod, and when I reconnected, they didn't show up in Strawberry either.
I assume there's something fundamentally different about the 7th gen Nano that means it's not supported.
It seems like there's zero active development here. But if anyone knows how the 7g Nano is different, maybe someone in the community could fork it and make the fix.
