Hi,

There is mouse scrolling for volume over the system indicator in GNOME Shell. I suppose it could work similarly for the Pomodoro indicator. It needs to give some feedback after the change, a suggested toast:

Also I would restrict it not to shorten the countdown below 30s or 10s.

In the app I was considering adding click-to-edit for the timer label, as adding + / - buttons would make the timer view a little cluttered:
