Feature issue: making repository complied with FAIR principles #326

@NadicaSm

Description

@NadicaSm

It would be useful to make this repository more in line with FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability). I suggest the following three steps:

  1. Add a section on how to cite repository or any other part of its content.
  2. Add a .cff file https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/managing-your-repositorys-settings-and-features/customizing-your-repository/about-citation-files and you can generate .cff at: https://citation-file-format.github.io/cff-initializer-javascript/#/.
  3. Add a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) number. I'd suggest to do so by integration of GitHub and Zenodo (you can also do this regularly for assigning DOI numbers to separate versions, for citing you can use a DOI that represents all versions as it will always point to the latest one). Here's how to integrate Zenodo DOI: https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/archiving-a-github-repository/referencing-and-citing-content
