Why that plugin should be added?
Currently it's impossible to monetize a Gio app using Ads.

What features this plugin should have and how it should work?
Be able to display ads inside a Gio app. Some apps are purely based on Ads, that is impossible using Gio, since no "plugin" is compatible, natively with Gio.

The Plugin API can be similar to WebView for basic display (know as "Banner" in AdMob). But, we can also support other types of Ads (see https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128738?hl=en). While I'm not interested in implementing all of them, I would like to see support for "Rewarded".

What alternatives you've considered?
None.

Did you known any particular limitation for specific OS?
AdMob doesn't support Windows/macOS/Linux/FreeBSD (any desktop OS), we a locked into Android/iOS and maybe WASM.

It's also "vendor-locked", so we need to choose a publisher (such as Google's AdMob). Maybe another publisher supports Windows/macOS?!

In that case, AdMob also provides a bunch of options, not just ad-display, but also Rewarded Ads, which is used to provide something to the user when watch a ad (https://developers.google.com/admob/android/rewarded?hl=pt-br).
