Use Power of creature (+haste) and perhaps direct damage to project "Clock" on opponent.
Clock = number of turns until you win (negative clock = until you lose).

Can be extended to look at board state/projected opponents holdings (deck+hand).

There are actually a few nested concepts here;

  1. "Race" clock - if you assume your opponent never blocks, what is the clock
  2. "Stall" clock - this is your clock if your opponent is in max protect (non chump) mode -- all their "excess" blockers are held back to block
  3. "Chump" clock - this is the clock if OP will always block

Generic board state is usually somewhere between full stall and full race. Net clock is the difference between your (3) clocks and your opponents.
