Problem with authenticating

Hi,

I tried to use this API to establish a direct connection to a SAP DB but I`m having problems with authentication.

I've noticed that the configuration file is missing the "USERNAME" and "PASSWORD" properties; If I start the server without these 5, I get error 500; If I add them and then do a POST request to /api/auth with these 2 props included in the body, I get a 401 and {"error":"unauthorized","message":"Please authenticate.","status":401} message

I am thinking that I'm having a configuration problem but don't really know what..

Hi there. Not sure if you are still looking for an answer. For you case, if you followed the readme by downloading the project, it will requires you basic http authentication as well. so, username and password you provided in your config.py, will be used for that purpose. While the username and password you sent in data option, will be used for JWT authentication (and it's set in flask/app.py)

So, you should use curl -X POST http://< yourserver >:5000 -u < username in config.py >:< password in config.py > -d '{"username": < username in app.py >, "password": < password in app.py >}'

However, the current project code removes basic authentication off, so you don't have to put username/password in config.py anymore.
