stuck in continuous loop if connection url is invalid

I'm using socketio-client in my Odoo app,

Expected Behavior:

If url given to SocketIO(URL) is invalid or not connected, it should stop.

Actual Behavior:

If url given to SocketIO(URL) is invalid or not connected, it stuck into a continuous loop and stops the complete application.

Question:

Is there any way to stop SocketIO() from going into the continuous loop and stop after 2 or 3 attempts?
