Add tests for backwards compatibility

Version 0.13.0 broke existing workflows in several ways

• Change of the key name for manifest_version, see Manifest version incompatibility #19
• Change of the output format for simdb remote list and simdb remote query

This can be avoided if we establish some simple interface tests for the existing scripted workflows

Point taken about #19 (please note that SimDB is still in beta version 0.x, so changes may indeed have occurred, we will push for a stable prod release v1 next year).
Console output is not an API so we should avoid speaking about compatibility in that case.

Console output is not an API so we should avoid speaking about compatibility in that case.

For us, in practice, we have a scripted interface which parses the console (the use case it for building a local sqlite cache, better solutions to do this would be welcome). As I suggested elsewhere it would be useful to establish --porcelain commands for the scripted use cases.
