Upcoming 26.1 directory structure change

As it was revealed in today's snapshot, the directory structure for Minecraft will change, this could potentially break compatibility in the upcoming version.

I don't think this affects the backup mechanism since it's talking about the subdirectories of each world directory. Am I missing something?

@itzg maybe you're right. I'm just quite worried because we have a big server...

Understandable. I'd say make one extra, manual backup before considering the major upgrade. With that can also clone off a separate server instance to confirm what it does to the world data directory.

Oh, #263 would likely help since you'd have the pre and post upgrade copies of the upgrades.
