Custom LEDs "area" documentation?

Hi there,

Would you be able to provide some insight on how to use the Custom LEDs breakouts?

The 5x3 through hole matrix layout would suggests that you could add TH resistors for columns 1 and 2 and a wires to the actual LED in column 3

However, there are resistors in the traces for the LEDs, so I am not sure what to make of it....

I was looking at those because I thought I could use them as layer indicators, but it does not seem to be the case

Unfortunately, I'm not the original designer of the PCB and I'm not quite sure what he intended with the custom LED matrix. It might be worth asking the author directly.
