How does Temporal compare to date-time libraries in other programming languages, and to JavaScript date-time libraries in the ecosystem?

C#

• DateOnly

Java

The joda-time library that resulted in JSR-310 and became part of the language in Java 8.

For C#, please add DateOnly and TimeOnly (for .NET 6+), which align to PlainDate and PlainTime in Temporal. Thanks.

For .NET, it's probably also worth checking out NodaTime, which is widely used.

For Python, add DateUtil, Arrow, Pytz, and the built-in zoneinfo for Python 3.9+
