As a developer we want to get you coding quickly. This quick start guide is intended to help you get set up and building in {{site.data.keyword.Bluemix}}.

Before you begin

Create a Pay-As-You-Go or Subscription account to get full access to all offerings in the catalog, including offerings with free service plans.

Quick start steps

  1. Install and set up the {{site.data.keyword.Bluemix_notm}} command line interface (CLI).
  2. To begin coding, complete the following steps:
    • Go to the Menu icon Menu icon > Dashboard > Apps widget and click Create an app to create one by using an empty starter kit or bring your own code.
    • Use a starter kit to create an app from a pre-configured custom app.
    • Start by programming language.
  3. Use the API Docs to understand the available endpoints and view examples.
  4. Use the Menu icon Menu icon > Resource List to see all apps and resources for your account on one screen or the Menu icon Menu icon > Dashboard to get an at-a-glance summary of your {{site.data.keyword.Bluemix_notm}} environment.
