[BUG] 1.3.8.2 on Linux - Camera screen is all pink in all modes except greyscale

Turning cameras on on the Steam Linux version of the game does not display the camera window. Clicking "camera adjust" opens an empty window that cannot be clicked, closed, or moved. Mod installed via CKAN.

Running Kubuntu 21.10, native linux version of game via Steam.

Only other docking-related mods are Docking Port Sound FX by TG626 and Navball Docking Alignment Indicator CE-2 (which you apparently wrote as well, heh).

Any ideas what's going on here or how to resolve? I don't critically need it, docking is easy enough, it would just be a really nice QoL mod to get working.

It seems to load fine, didn't notice any obvious errors. Fresh logfile created, backed up old log file, launched game, loaded my test vehicle on the runway, undocked, and then turned camera on. No window appears. Enabled on-screen logging, not output from toggling camera on and off. Hitting camera adjuster throws NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object, then floods this indefinitely in the logfile, since it does open a window, but you can't close or interact with it.

Ummm, Github never let you attach a 40 meg file. If you had zipped it up, it would have been much smaller, about 400k and Github would have let you attach that

Say what you want about MS, but don't blame them for something that has been around for a long time.

Now, getting to your problem:

The reason for the log file is that your problems started at the beginning of the file. Look for the word "Exception" and you can find the beginning of the issue.

It gave a generic message, no complaints about filesize, hence the confusion.

I missed the exception because of the name variation: was searching "KURS" and that one is "DockingCameraModule". I see what you're referring to; looking into it as well (I try to do my homework before opening issues).

I'm not 100% on what I'm looking at, as I don't generally work with GUI stuff, but it seems to be an issue with texture resolution:

This is why, while finding and showing snippets are nice, you should always provide the complete log.
A quick test showed it's working for me, but I develop and play on Windows, haven't had a chance to see what might be different on Linux.
Have you tried it in a small install, with only the bare minimum of mods installed? Not sure if it would help, but would at least eliminate the other installed mods from consideration

The snippet is from the file already uploaded to https://arksurvivalfan.com/KSP.log, not a new log, I was just showing what seemed to be the relevant section that I found. Apologies for not making that more clear.

In the stack trace i see multiple references to System.Int32, which I read as a 32-bit integer. Could this imply Unity is running in 32-bit mode, but perhaps I'm missing some 32-bit libs? So far as I could tell the game is running in 64-bit mode, but if I knew of any third-party libraries that the game or mod need I could try installing those manually.

Backed up my GameData directory. Copied in DockingCamKURS, clickthrough blocker, toolbar control, and the modulemanager dlls. Same errors present.

One additional note: I don't have a full ubuntu system to test on, I only have Ubuntu running in a VMWare virtual machine. I don't get the exceptions you are seeing, but also, the bundle (the data file I have above) doesn't seem to be able to load properly, and I'm not sure if it's because of the virtual machine.

Replaced DockingCam.ksp with the new one, same error still present, but new error introduced starting on line 6062:

My testing steps have been:

1. delete the previous log so we have a clean one
2. Load test craft (just some wheels, two MEMs, and medium clampotrons)
3. Launch to runway
4. Brakes
5. Undock
6. Move away
7. toggle camera on and check for no target message, toggle off (did not receive no target message at any point)
8. target the other docking port
9. toggle camera on, wait a moment to see if window appears, toggle off
10. click camera adjuster, which errors instantly
11. rapidly revert to hangar, exit hanger, quit to menu, quit game (the errors from camera adjuster are the ones that turned the log 30MB+ in only a couple minutes)

While writing this, your second comment came in. I'm happy to assist with testing however I can. I'm no good with GUI stuff, but I know linux, and I'm quite comfortable with C and Python and have been getting better with JavaScript.

That message about the shader is what I get, but I don't get the errors you seem to be getting

Game is running at 2560x1440 (display native) resolution, in borderless full-screen, if that's relevant. Again, don't work with GUI stuff if I can avoid it, so not too familiar.

I didn't notice the shader message prior to the updated .ksp file you provided, though it's possible I just missed it in the earlier logs.

Running 2560x1440@165Hz. Game in borderless window mode.

If I understood what specifically has the invalid parameters and how it was getting called that might give me some clue, but it doesn't really say. It does seem to be the height, at minimum, though it could just be that the check on height happens before width and both have the issue. One of the on-screen errors (only appears when displaying them on-screen is enabled in debug settings) is that cameramarker is null, when I hit the camera adjuster button.

In case it just didn't like the resolution, I just launched the game in a 1920x1080 window. Same result (skipping log since no change).

It's definitely trying to load it with 0 height and width. Double checked the config files, and apparently it was somehow set to 0 (had to have been like that from the first, since I've never gotten it to appear, so wouldn't have had any menu to change it in...) I've never modified the settings, and there was never anything in-game for me to do so.

Modified DockingCamera.cfg and set height and width to 300, issue persists, but it does read the values in:

Can you please check to be sure you don't have an older copy installed somewhere? This isn't making sense.

To be as thorough as possible, I'm reinstalling KSP, then will use CKAN to install latest DockingCamKURS and no other mods but what it flags as deps (I just did a refresh and update last week, so assuming 1.3.8.2 in CKAN is latest, I'm definitely on it already.

Will copy over that latest DLL; do you want me to copy the modified .ksp file as well or use the one from CKAN?
