Compiled javascript ends up in public/ and public/assets/ directories

I know nothing about javascript compilation or vite. I've generated an application using the main branch and noticed that there are generated files in both folders with exact same names. I don't know if it shouldn't be doing that, or if another gitignore needs to be added in the generator so users avoid committing those files.
