Thank you for following along with our project. Given our recent RC releases (we've just published As for GA, we expect it to land around the end of March. We don't follow a fixed release cadence. We release when we have meaningful items ready, while not letting things sit in main for too long. One thing to note: even as the core package(s) reach GA, some packages will continue in preview/beta until we have sufficient signal that their abstractions are stable. |

First, thank you for the active development of the Agent Framework! The recent Python 1.0.0-rc1 release on Feb 19, 2026 is a major milestone, and the Release Candidate status announced in the Microsoft Foundry blog suggests that the API surface is stabilizing.
However, as the framework continues to evolve rapidly especially during preview-many teams (including mine) would greatly benefit from clarity around upcoming releases, GA timelines, and how preview updates are expected to roll out.
