Question on using this in pre-bzlmod bazel

I am stuck on the older WORKSPACE Bazel setup for another quarter or so. Is there a way to load this bazel extension in older Bazels? I understand it may not make sense for Modular to support that setup, but if you have some pointers on how one could proceed I really appreciate it ❤️

Hey! What version are you on? that's probably the harder piece than just bzlmod vs workspace. At the very least we'd have to convert the 2 module extensions to also be callable from the workspace, which is probably just some minor boilerplate
