Support to Nifti archives

I've seen many AI applications with CT scans using NIFTI (nii.gz) format to compress and store CT scans.
However, it seems to me that Weasis is unable to natively load this format, which creates needless friction for the user (converting back to DICOM, for example).

NIFTI files are mainly used in neuroscience for research purposes. Weasis is primarily developed as a DICOM viewer, and our focus remains on supporting medical imaging workflows in clinical environments.

For research purposes and advanced 3D visualization of NIFTI files, I would recommend using specialized software like 3D Slicer, which is specifically designed for research applications and provides comprehensive support for NIFTI format along with advanced analysis tools.

Weasis will continue to focus on DICOM imaging standards, and we don't plan to add advanced research-oriented features.
