ofGen, ability to download external files for addons or projects

I'm wondering about a feature: you can add external links to be downloaded by ofGen (if files are not present) in addons or projects.
Usefulness: Let's say you make a novel addon with a precompiled library, ofxStagMarker
so it can download (similar to libs.sh script) libraries from a remote location, for one or more platforms.
