SRM save not persistant in browser after reloading the page?

For me, it seems that the SRM save is not persistant in the browser once you reload (or leave) the page.
Only the manual export/import works.
Is this an intended behavior?

How can I configure the generated HTML file so that it persists between reload?

If you are opening an HTML file directly without a web server - the browser does not provide indexeddb

Outsite of that - it's very spotty and works depending on the game and your device

If I understood it correctly, the indexeddb itself is working, because the in browser save states are persistent between reload
(I can Load State in browser without problem)

It's just that the in browser SRM is always resetted after reloading the page. (Restarting without reload works)
I tested Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome on Windows & Android, but all of them reset the SRM save.

Looking at the browser log, it seems that SRAM load is skipped somehow:

Upon further testing, Safari on iPad works when I reload the page, but it erases the SRM save after I quit it with Exit Emulation button.

This log is coming from RetroArch, most of the time the core itself handles the load (this isn't always logged)

This definitely should not happen and is odd
