Autosave is typically a function that's been implemented by the page containing the EJS component. For example; I'm the maintainer of the Gaseous Server project. When you start a game, I capture srm files every minute to ensure I've got the latest update. However; it's not without problems:

I'm sure this idea has been proposed before, but I would like to see it integrated. I was thinking that you could use the FileSystemAccess API, but this feature is limited mainly to Chromium-based browsers. Maybe you could use IndexedDB? It is up to you if you decide to integrate this helpful feature.
