EMBO code version not work

I try to compile with stm32cubeide v1.19.0 newest and it compile but when i move comm_data_t* comm_ptr; to comm.c file
and change to extern comm_data_t* comm_ptr; in comm.h file.
After bluepill board is not recognized in EMBO pc software.
When i flash the bluepill with prepared firmware all work fine.

What the issue with code or with compiler ???
Is it code on embo main branch the same with precompiled version Firmware 0.2.4 ???

where exactly must add -fcommon
I have add to : Properties → C/C++ Build → Settings → Tool Settings tab → MCU GCC Compiler → Miscellaneous
but it not help . Compiling wihout error but EMBO softvare show warning popup with msg. serial port opening fail.
PC has recognized st virtual com port.

just a guess... read somewhere that ram usage is "on upper limit" - perhaps rtos or other does require a few bytes more ... will test with my stm32f303.

have the same problem.

Wrong guess... modified src/firmware/src/cfg/cfg_303re.h from
#define EM_DAQ_MAX_MEM 44000 to #define EM_DAQ_MAX_MEM 40000 - but that did not help.

Release build config does not work. Has less include paths than Debug. Tried with Debug build config, but with "debug level: none" - does not help.

PS: there is also a "debug level" @ MCU GCC Assembler

EMBO_F303RE.hex from EMBO_firmware-0.2.4.zip has 70 kB ; self compiled has 173 kB (!).

Where we can to download exact the same source code and project files of released EMBO_firmware-0.2.4.zip.
This firmware work with no problem.

STM32CubeIDE v1.11.2 works, but needs -fcommon, too. "Debug" build configuration. Tested connection & oscilloscope with the embo gui (windows). Not exactly the same hex file size as in .zip .
