Known-good, previously working code fails on every international rate check.

Verified other "quirks" such as not having something in STATE are met.

Is it possible the wrapper is very ungracefully handling an exception with the core API/service?

Debugged a bit deeper and I see a "500: Transient error" from the core API, but then the nodejs API continues banging its head against a brick wall and eventually SIGKILLs.
