Hello,

Sorry to report an "issue" i'm not any developer, I'm just trying to set up some devices for my Home Assistant OS and I'm struggling with my Yeelight Dimmer Switch and I didn't know how to simply "comment" or "ask for help".

I've installed github on my PC, i've installed Python, I've "Oppened it in Command Prompt" and executed "python3 demo.py F8:24:41:C3:15:26"

And it gaves me this error:

\yeelight-dimmer-python\YeelightDimmer.py", line 1, in <module>
    from Cryptodome.Cipher import AES
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'Cryptodome'

I've also tryed this using VSC and I got the same result.

I'm sure that I have some lack of knowledge here but I would like to ask if you can give me some tips to continue trying to get this beacon key.

A Python lib is missing. Install with pip install pycryptodome

I've just updated the repository. Please run the following commands to fetch the latest changes and install the correct library versions:

git pull
python3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt

The error was fixed with the update, but now, it gives me an instant error.

The "press pair button" and the "fail" appear at the same time instantly, even if my dimmer is on pair mode.

Update: tried it in another PC, in WSL to be more precise and the same error happened. Instant error when executing the script.

From my experience, you need to try several times; sometimes the connection works in the 5-10 attempt. Make sure that the indicator on the dimmer is flashing. But I will definitely add logging!

First, I run the script, then I press and hold the button on the dimmer, and when the indicator starts blinking, I release it.

It doesn't even try to make the connection, is an instant error, so this approach didn't help. The script doesn't work as intended.

I know it can make a connection because I tried also the BLE script from their wiki. The connection now happens, but with another error. (as I said, this is another script just to make sure I can make a connection and is not an error from my part)

Looks like you have a different version of hw. Check if needed characteristic is really present.
