Support for InlandECDIS?

Hi Guys,

it's great project! I would like to add InlandECDIS for my country available to download from https://geoportal.plavebniurad.cz/web/NavigationMap/InlandECDIS_en

Is it possible to do? What can I do to make it happen!

OK, I had a look.

Import into OpenCPN work out of the box.

I can also convert the *.000s to GeoPackage and load the data into the dutch map in QGIS, it work, but the rendering is incomplete, not everything in the data has a style in QGIS.

But it works in principle.

I can also convert the data from gpkg to geojson on file per layer and then repackage them as S57, so AvNav can read them with ochartsng plugin. (OpenCPN also writes these S57 files, but with different usages bands/scales).

So, it is already possible to use the charts in OpenCPN and AvNav w/o 'my' conversion.

How do you want to use these charts?

I would like to have MBTiles package and show them offline on my boat at some point. I know it works with OpenCPN, but MBTiles conversion would be great for not using OpenCPN here.

I did try to get those into QGIS, but I wasn't able to do much there :-)

How I did the conversion (on Linux)

• place the zip in the data folder
• in makefile change target %.zip to

	true
# 	wget -O data/$@ "`rwsget.py $(basename $@)`"

• run make CZECH_ENC_ROOT.enc and you get data/CZECH_ENC_ROOT.gpkg
• rename mv data/CZECH_ENC_ROOT.gpkg data/rws.gpkg
• open qgis/rws.qgs in QGIS
• 'keep unavailable layers'
• disable layer group vwm
• enable layer group aton

Then you can inspect/edit the styles of the found layers. I Drop rws.gpkg into QGIS again to import previously missing layers.

Then begins the tedious work of adjusting the styles...
