Feature Suggestion: Site tag to identify sites/endpoints on shared physical links #1

Dear WG,
as a feature request it might be useful for certain network/WAN set ups to have an additional tag to identify sites (or similar like instance).
E.g., our sites DESY-HH and DESY-ZN are nominally different sites and have their own IP ranges (same AS AFAIK). However, both sites are connected on the physical link level and share to some degree the overall WAN. Thus, there is a coupling that might not be well represented on the network/transport layers.
