Publishing releases to PyPi

Hey,

It would help if tk-core and other shotgrid python packages gets published on pypi server. I am unsure what was the reasoning behind not doing it ?

This would help managing this as a requirement on projects easier where we do not need to have git binaries in order to pull these dependencies.

A third party is currently redistributing an old version (v0.21.7) of tk-core on PyPI under the name sgtk.

It's unclear if the maintainer, bmLucasMorante, has obtained written consent from Autodesk, so it's difficult to determine if this constitutes a license violation.
However, if this was done without permission, I believe it would be a clear violation of the license.

I'm not familiar with PyPI and don't know how to report this. Is there any way to take action against this redistributed package?

Sorry, I was unaware of this beeing an issue. I’ve removed the package.
