Superscript and subscript characters #195
Description
Can superscript and subscript characters please be added to the charMap, to replace them with their plain numeric or alphabetic counterparts?
Our immediate usecase is that we have units of measure in titles, and therefor in slugs, e.g. 15 m³.
Perhaps start with common use cases:
- The ones that appear in the ASCII table, e.g.
¹²³ - Subscript numbers that appear in chemicals, such as in
H₂O - Letters for ordinal notations, like
1ˢᵗ,2ⁿᵈ,3ʳᵈ,4ᵗʰ - Something like
Nºas an abbreviation for "number" feels archaic but is still used
