docker-compose health check

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to add a docker-compose healthcheck to the imageproxy container.
I've tried a few tricks to no avail..
healthcheck:
test: ["CMD-SHELL", "exec 3<>/dev/tcp/localhost/8080 && echo -e 'GET / HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: localhost\r\n\r\n' >&3 && grep -q OK <&3"]
interval: 30s
timeout: 5s
retries: 3
start_period: 4s

  Any ideas? I don't want to put curl into the image.
