StatsEye Security Policy

Overview

StatsEye is a data research assistant application that helps users access and analyze statistical data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) of Ireland. This document outlines our security practices and data handling policies.

Data Handling

What We Collect

  • Session Information: Basic session data to maintain user context during conversations
  • Query Content: The questions and requests submitted to the application
  • Authentication: Minimal user identification via OAuth for session management only

What We DON'T Collect

  • Sensitive Personal Information: We do not ask for, store, or process sensitive personal information
  • Financial Data: We do not collect payment information or financial details
  • Credentials: We do not store passwords or authentication credentials

Data Usage

  • Data is used solely to provide the statistical research assistance service
  • User queries are processed to retrieve relevant statistical datasets from CSO
  • No data is shared with third parties except as required for the functioning of the application

Authentication

  • Authentication is implemented via OAuth solely for session management
  • We utilize standard security practices for authentication flows
  • All authentication is handled securely via industry-standard protocols
