I'll be working with the Community Food Bank to create one or more wizards or other simple types of computer-aided instruction and just to see if they really help. The first will be a garden planning guide. I will hand code it for this evaluation. The idea is that doing a few of these the old-fashioned way will give us some good information on how to create a tool that makes it easier to create these things. Since I normally do not create fully functioning code (I do stubbed-out code for usability tests) I have asked for some help from CfT members and several have already given me some good information. Thanks. I will put the design for this guide and the code in GitHub as I develop it so people can help me and even add to it if they wish. I will also be doing some usability testing related to the final tool and will ask CfT folks to help me by participating.
