Made a one-line bug fix needed by edhist.py (python) script. The bug did not trip the edhist.pl (perl) script, but it is a bug nonetheless.

Adding these python scripts so that they do not get lost. They will have no impact until calls to edhist.pl (perl) are changed to edhist.py (python).
