Overview

This GitHub page collates the digitisation works of the Holle List (see Stokhof 1980 for the introductory volume). The logo is generated via ChatGPT (see the archived chat and instruction here). Updates will be posted in the Discussions page.

Current works

  • Digitalising the whole Holle List volumes via the Tesseract software:

    • We are done digitalising the entire volumes of vols.: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10/2, 10/3 (for the Barrier Islands Languages, off the west coast of Sumatra), and 11.

      • Some of the contents in vol. 10/2 were digitalised by students as part of Lexicology and Lexicography subject introducing them with WeSay (Cohort 2024) and Lexonomy (Cohort 2025)

    • We are left to digitalise several languages in the Sumatra area (vol. 9 for Northern Sumatra and vol. 10/1 for Minang Central Sumatra)

  • Proofreading and editing the digitalisation results
