Github is configured to require macos-latest. Those checks are pending because they're no longer running. That can be changed in the repo's settings. Out of curiosity, why drop MacOS? Are the CI runners being retired? |

Macos-latest is not x64. So this is most likely doing emulation. Macos should really only be tested on aarch64, which can be added as an include. |

Okay, I removed MacOS from the branch protection rules. A few JuliaHub employees (e.g. Oscar and Chris R) have the permissions to make changes like this here, if needed in the future. |
