We empower businesses and event organizers to launch incentive-driven campaigns with transparent, blockchain-backed rewards—eliminating middlemen and simplifying Web3 adoption for everyday users. With a live app, 25,000+ community members, and $70,000+ USDT distributed, we’re bridging the gap between blockchain and real-world engagement.
I’m passionate about this project because it solves real problems—high marketing costs, outdated rewards systems, and blockchain skepticism—by offering a seamless, rewarding entry point into Web3. It’s a chance to make decentralized technology practical and impactful for businesses and users alike, driving mass adoption one campaign at a time.

Our proposed solution is a Web3 platform on Polygon that simplifies tokenized marketing and loyalty management. We enable businesses and event organizers to launch AI-powered, incentive-driven campaigns with transparent, smart contract-backed rewards—no middlemen, no complexity. Users connect effortlessly, participate in real-world events, and earn instantly redeemable tokens and NFTs. By blending Web2 usability with blockchain trust, Fishcake cuts costs, boosts engagement, and bridges the gap between everyday life and the Web3 economy—making adoption seamless and rewarding for all.

Yes, we face competition. Direct competitors include:

Luma & Meetup: Web2 event platforms lacking blockchain incentives.
Groupon: Centralized deals platform with high fees, no Web3 integration.
Galxe: Web3 engagement tool, crypto-native focus, limited real-world use.
Blackbird: Web3 restaurant loyalty, narrower scope, acts as a middleman.
Fishcake stands out with broader use cases, zero fees, and a Web2-friendly Web3 experience, bridging real-world and blockchain engagement better than these alternatives. No direct Apple ecosystem overlap, but we compete with loyalty apps broadly.

12. Why Aptos?
Aptos is a Layer-1 blockchain designed for scalability, security, and speed, making it ideal for real-world Web3 applications like ours. It boasts a theoretical throughput of over 160,000 transactions per second (TPS) thanks to its parallel execution engine (Block-STM), far surpassing many competitors—Polygon, for instance, averages 65 TPS. This speed could handle Fishcake’s growing volume of tokenized campaigns and smart contract interactions seamlessly.
Its Move programming language, originally from Meta’s Diem project, enhances security with resource-specific controls, reducing vulnerabilities—a critical factor for Fishcake’s trust-based reward system. AptosBFT consensus also ensures reliability, tolerating up to 33% faulty validators, which aligns with our need for a robust, outage-resistant network.

Additionally, Aptos offers low transaction fees (around $0.001272) and sub-second finality, making it cost-effective and user-friendly for businesses and everyday users—key to driving Fishcake’s mass adoption goals. Its modular design supports upgrades without downtime, offering flexibility as we scale.

While Fishcake thrives on Polygon’s established ecosystem, Aptos’ performance and future-proof features make it a strong candidate for expansion, especially for onboarding millions into Web3 with minimal friction. It’s about building on a blockchain that matches our vision: fast, secure, and accessible.

14. If you have multiple founders, how did you meet?
As Jason An, CEO of Fishcake, I’m one of the two founders alongside Seek Guo, our CTO. We met in early 2022 through a mutual connection in the blockchain community during a Web3 developer meetup in Singapore. I was exploring real-world blockchain use cases after my previous startup ventures, and Seek, with his deep technical expertise from Mantle and Bybit, was working on scalability solutions post-Dapplink. Our shared passion for simplifying Web3 adoption sparked collaboration, and by March 2023, we started building Fishcake together—combining my business vision with his technical prowess.

15. How many projects have you worked on together?How are responsibilities divided among the founders?
As Jason An, CEO of Fishcake, Seek Guo (CTO) and I have worked on one project together: Fishcake. This is our first joint venture, launched in March 2023, though we each bring experience from prior individual projects—my two startups and Seek’s Dapplink.

Responsibility Division:
Jason An (CEO/Founder): I oversee the strategic vision, business development, and ecosystem growth. My focus is on Tokenomics design, partnerships, fundraising, and ensuring Fishcake solves real-world problems for businesses and users.
Seek Guo (CTO/Co-founder): Seek leads the technical backbone—blockchain architecture, smart contract development, and platform optimization. He ensures a secure, scalable, and seamless user experience, driving the engineering side of our Web3 vision.
We complement each other: I handle the “why” and “how” of market fit, while Seek tackles the “what” and “how” of tech execution. It’s a clear split—business strategy versus technical innovation.

We both founders—myself and Seek Guo (CTO)—are committed full-time to Fishcake. We’ve been fully dedicated since March 2023, spending 60-80 hours per week each on the project. No other commitments currently divert our focus; Fishcake is our sole priority as we drive its growth and adoption.

As Jason An, CEO of Fishcake, I’m based in Romeoville, Illinois, USA, where our legal entity, Fishcake Inc., is registered (256 S Oak Creek Ln, Romeoville, IL 60446). Seek Guo, our CTO, is based in Singapore, leveraging its vibrant Web3 ecosystem. We operate remotely, coordinating across time zones to drive Fishcake forward.

Milestone 2: Platform Optimization & Testing (35% - $17,500, Total: $30,000)
Goal: Optimize Fishcake for Movemaker’s performance, ensure seamless user experience.

Milestone 3: Launch & Adoption Push (40% - $20,000, Total: $50,000)

Our core team does not currently need office space support from Aptos Space (HK). I’m based in Romeoville, Illinois, USA, and Seek Guo, our CTO, operates out of Singapore. Our six-member team works remotely, leveraging digital tools to collaborate effectively across time zones. While Seek is closer to Hong Kong geographically, he’s fully equipped to work from Singapore’s Web3 hub. For now, we’re good without physical office space—our focus is on development and adoption, not infrastructure. That said, we’d consider it later if scaling demands in-person collaboration in the region.
