This low-fidelity prototype was designed for mAIchart project teacher sessions that were conducted in June 2025. The prototype's aim is to visualize some features that would augment teaching according to teachers’ needs. The sessions with teachers contained think-aloud sessions to understand which features would be essential, and how they should be improved to provide a functional prototype.
The three main features represented in the prototype are pre-determined and customized grouping of students in a classroom (according to their skill levels, group projects they have been working on etc.), tracking learning progress over time and according to learning goals and their sub goals, and notifications about discrepancies of individual students, accompanied by suggestions for the teachers to tackle these. The prototype does not contain any backend code or data connections and only has limited UI features to showcase the main three functionalities that were to be discussed with teachers. The presented data is hard-coded in the files and is artificial.
The three files (mAIchart.html, mAIchart.css and mAIchart.js) in the same folder are sufficient to run the prototype. It is also possible to run through websites like https://codepen.io/ and https://jsfiddle.net/, for which copying each file to the belonging html (body only), css and js sections are needed, and https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.3/jquery.min.js might be needed to be connected within the website of choice.
https://codepen.io/Onuralp-Ulusoy/pen/zxGZxBq has the prototype hosted as ready to run.
