OmniBlocks Code of Conduct

Here at OmniBlocks, we take behavior very seriously. While we are generally more laid-back and lenient compared to other projects, safety is still a big priority.

General Rules

In any OmniBlocks repository, issue, discussion, pull request, or otherwise part of OmniBlocks or something that could be associated with OmniBlocks, you must not use any violent or hateful language, profanity, or otherwise inappropriate content.

OmniBlocks is for All Ages

From children to the elderly, OmniBlocks is designed to be safe for people of all ages. This means that any content you post on the OmniBlocks projects is subject to rightful moderation based on its appropriateness to everyone. Before you post something or contribute something, think of the following question: "Would this be appropriate for a 5 year old?". Of course, everyone's views on what is appropriate for specific people is different, but the standards remain the same.

Responsibility for your Actions

Even if you don't believe it, your actions follow you everywhere. If you, for whatever reason, decide to post any content deemed inappropriate by the OmniBlocks team, you WILL be moderated accordingly. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Blocking you from the OmniBlocks organization. This will prevent people from seeing any contributions or comments you make here. You can be blocked with or without any reason given, as long as the action was made reasonably.
  • Reporting you to GitHub. In more severe cases, we can report you directly to GitHub for wrongful actions, which will get your account banned.

What content is not allowed?

We welcome people regardless of gender, ethnicity, race, or disability. Please do not judge people based on such superficial traits. To maintain peace in the OmniBlocks community, do not post:

  • **Hateful, abusive, or manipulative content.
  • Spam, scams, and other forms of selfish self-promotion.
  • Harmful or Illegal content.
  • Extremist, biased, or conspiracist content.
  • Explicit content, indecency, or innuendos.
  • Profanity and vulgar language are strongly discouraged. We understand that mild expletives may be used casually by some, including us, but they have no place in directed insults or harassment. The project maintainers retain final discretion on whether language is appropriate for our community. We cannot moderate or filter what you make yourself in the OmniBlocks IDE, and to be honest, we shouldn't do so to maintain a free and powerful IDE for everyone. This applies to anything related to us in the GitHub platform or any of our external official platforms (OmniBlocks Wiki, Forum Topic, etc.)**
  • Redirecting, mentioning, or linking to unmoderated chat, wiki, or otherwise inappropriate content.

Any violation of such rules will result in a block or ban.

Reporting Violations

If you witness or are subject to a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to the OmniBlocks team by contacting us privately at the private security reporting tab. While an email is more professional, we currently don't have an email or any form of private communication available to the public.

Have Fun

While these rules can sound scary or intimidating, it is extremely easy to just... not do anything bad! So keep doing what you're doing and Code On!
