gcc and g++ check fails , so adding this line fixed it for me

My gcc and g++ check fails when I run make menu config, so it wasn't grepping for gcc so I added this line

Copying the note about Ubuntu from the README:

Note that when using Ubuntu, 18.04 is required. Using a later version will not build.
