Enhance UI with mobile-friendly button styles

Added styles for mobile touch targets and visual enhancements.

Summary of Changes:
Updated the index.css file to improve usability on touch devices and modernize the visual aesthetic.

Key Improvements:

• Accessibility: Increased minimum touch target size to 44px (easier to use on mobile/on deck).
• Visuals: Applied border-radius and drop-shadows for a modern "floating" aesthetic.
• Feedback: Added active states (Nautical Orange) to improve responsiveness.

No logic changes. Pure CSS overrides.

Apologies for the long silence on this one! I found the github notification in my spam folder.
The code is reasonable; I'll stage this and check tomorrow.

On large displays, the zoom buttons now are quite large. Can you make the css conditional on being served to mobile platforms or high dpi devices?
Also, I would prefer if we can deal with the visuals/aesthetics separate from the accessibility changes. If we chance aesthetics, we should change it everywhere in the app.
