I haven't yet read the post, just took a look at the pics :p

  • The dendrogram picture is not very sexy, I'd replace eventually with either a figure from the paper or something else
  • For the cover image, I think we could convey the content of the post more clearly, for instance the image of someone with a thinking expression and above, bubbles of thought with names of the questionnaires that we discuss

That's all good! What do you think about something like this for the cover image?

Pull Request Overview

This PR introduces a new blog post about the Mint Scale, a novel interoception measurement tool developed by the Reality Bending Lab. The post compares existing interoception scales and presents the Mint Scale as an improved alternative that addresses context-dependent interoceptive awareness.

  • Introduction of a comprehensive blog post explaining interoception measurement challenges
  • Detailed comparison of existing scales (BPQ, MAIA/MAIA-2, IAS) with their limitations
  • Presentation of the new Mint Scale with its modality-by-context approach and network-based analysis methodology

## Glossary

- **Jingle fallacy** = a shared label making different things appear to be more synonymous than they are. In the context of interoception, it can be argued that previous scales have measured distinct constructs/facets all under the label of “interoception”, which could thus be a misnomer.
- **Meta-cognitive beliefs** = our self-awareness of our own beliefs- including how we regulates our thoughts, which relates to emotions. These have implications into what coping strategies we may use.

Grammar error: 'regulates' should be 'regulate' to match the plural subject 'we'.

Awkward phrasing: 'have implications into' should be 'have implications for' or 'inform'.

@sh-roisin has suggested that we could use the node diagram from the preprint rather than the dendrogram! What do you guys think?

It's true, I think it could be good to have a visual demonstration of the complex connections involved in the hierarchical clustering, although I understand if it looks too complicated for the blog format :)

TODO:

  1. Add a Reference section with the references rather than a Footnotes
  2. Revise the flow so that it is more about the different questionnaires than a summary of the MINT. For isntance:
  • Intro section: paragraph on interoception and the challenges of measuring it via self-reports
  • Questionnaires overvew section: One big table with all the questionnaires (include also some other ones beyond the 4 "main"-ones
  • which one to pick" summary section: discusses possible decisions in terms of tradeoffs (shortness vs. robustness vs. popularity vs. dimensions included) in which we push the mint
