I easily forget exactly what hardware we're working with, so I'll go ahead and make a quick list here. Feel free to contribute if you notice any changes or missing items. :)

Listing

• MPU-6050 (Accelerometer and Gyroscope)
  • Combines a 3-axis accelerometer with 3-axis gyro.
  • Measures acceleration and orientation ('angular velocity').
  • Works with mpu6050, a Rust crate
• LPPS-22-050 (Linear Potentiometer)
  • A tool used to measure the car's performance in various ways, including checking suspension function and measuring linear displacement on various different components.
    • To my knowledge, we currently use it on the front wheel mounts, pointing to us measuring suspension. We'll need to check in and make sure this is the case.
    • Last year, we just kinda... let them chill there. Our code never interacted with them.

Removed Hardware

Some devices have been removed from our vehicle.

• MAX6675 (Thermocouple Amplifier)
  • Digitizes and amplifies temperature readings from a thermocouple.
  • EXTREMELY OUTDATED: hasn't been sold on Adafruit since mid-2012.
  • Currently no Rust library. Adapting the MAX31855 library may be easier. I've asked ChatGPT to whip up a quick adaptation here.
