Inofficial git fork of TCNOpen

Components for IEC61375 standardised communication.

This is an inofficial fork of the TCNOpen project into a git repository.

See also: https://sourceforge.net/projects/tcnopen/

A clone of the commits on sourceforge will be maintained in the svn branch.

The intention of this fork is to have the code in git, to analyse different aspects of the TRDP and SDTv2 protocols and play with (highly) experimental extensions to them.

Some of these extensions are language bindings and usage examples in Rust. They will be located here for some time until they are moved to their own crate.

For now, until we have a safe abstraction, the Rust code is unsafe by nature.

Build TRDP

This was tested on v 2.1.0.0

git checkout experiments_2100

cd trdp
make LINUX_config
make
make test
make pdtest

Run TRDP Examples

(on branch experiments_2100 / main)

This was tested on v 2.1.0.0 but should also run on main

git checkout main

Build

make libtrdp
make example

Build for lazy people

make clean && make libtrdp && make example

Add second IP address. E.g.:

sudo ip address add 192.168.53.103/24 dev enp8s0

Set library path

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=bld/output/linux-rel/

View help:

bld/output/linux-rel/sendHello -h
bld/output/linux-rel/receiveHello -h

Run hello clients:

bld/output/linux-rel/receiveHello -o 192.168.53.103
bld/output/linux-rel/sendHello -o 192.168.53.104 -t 192.168.53.103

Run local tests:

bld/output/linux-rel/localtest -o 192.168.53.103 -i 192.168.53.104
bld/output/linux-rel/localtest2 -o 192.168.53.103 -i 192.168.53.104

Build doxygen docu

cd trdp
make doxygen
firefox doc/html/index.html

Run Rust Examples

(on branch main)

Both Rust examples should behave similar to the C examples and also work interchangeable.

cargo run --example send_hello -- --destination 192.168.53.103 --source 192.168.53.104 -c 1001
cargo run --example send_hello -- --help

cargo run --example receive_hello -- -s 192.168.53.103 -c 1001
cargo run --example receive_hello -- --help

Build SDTv2

This was tested on main aka SDTv2 SDK 2.4.0.1

git checkout main

cd SDTv2
rm -rf output
make

Run SDTv2 Tests

Build Tests

cd test
make

Run Test

cd test
./test

Run Test "IPT Latency Run ok"

./test/test -a
./test/test -a | grep EXCEL > test_a_output.csv
libreoffice test_a_output.csv

The big question is now how do we interpret the output. Aka what is the expection?
