golang is also a working option via apt, at least for Ubuntu 20+; the default package is currently at 1.13.

Are you sure that's all that's needed? In the meanwhile the debian packaging code has been updated to work again. One of the things it added was a requirement for golang-go >= 2:1.13. |

IIRC that was the only dependency that wasn't listed; I can double-check on a clean system when I have time to go through the docs again. |

libssl-dev is also required to build from source in Ubuntu/Debian.
Just an aside, probably beyond the scope of what you want to include in this doc, but golang is also a working option via apt for Ubuntu 20+; the default package is currently at 1.13.
