data.table fails to build on macOS runners because libintl.h (provided by GNU gettext) is not available by default. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Environment variables from $GITHUB_ENV are not picked up by R's build system. Writing the flags to ~/.R/Makevars ensures clang finds libintl.h when compiling data.table from source. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
