Do I need to have a strong understanding of React or Tailwind ?

Well, 50% yes and 50% no. The UI is very much clean and minimal so users will find it very easy to follow and integrate these components in their projects although it is good to have an understanding of how react ecosystem, it's components, hooks works and yes a little of tailwind classes.

This library is built on javascript or typescript ?

Pixel Labs is built fully using typescript but you are open to any customizations of your own.

Is this library only for react projects ?

Pixel Labs components are built for react, nextjs projects where tailwind is installed.

Is Pixel Labs open source and can I use or custommize it according to me ?

Yes, Pixel Labs is an open source UI library and you are free to make a copy of your own and do customizations according to you. However, it is recommended that you must keep some do's and don'ts in mind and kindly read the LICENSE before proceeding.
