I'm using verifyjs in forms styled with Bootstrap. Just had a case where the error-msg for a SELECT-Control was hidden behind some other form-elements. Editing verify.notify.js and changing all z-index-definitions in line 59 to 1050 fixed the problem for me. I hope this fix is general enough...
