Why is sender ID done in the MAC layer? |

In the MACA PR protocol it makes sense that CTS is specifically addressed to the sender. However, this made me notice that the inter-layer interface has been modified to pass the sender ID around for all MAC protocols. This defeats the purpose of of separating the layers and should be reverted. The routing address is not necessary the same as the MAC address, although currently they are in our simulation. |
